Launceston Philatelic Society Services
The L.P.S. offers the following services to its members:-
- The chance to buy and sell stamps and similar material at Society Meetings, Market Days, the Annual Postal Bid Sale, and through the Exchange Book system, where pages of stamps for sale are circulated amongst members on a circuit system . A circuit sheet can be downloaded here exchange sheet
- The opportunity to see fine displays of interesting and often rare philatelic material, and to hear the exhibitor talk about the displays and answer questions.
- The ability to seek and gain advice on any number of stamp-related issues, including the difficult one of how best the family can deal with the collection or stock of a deceased member when no instructions have been left.
- Members have access to the L.P.S. Library on meeting nights. Books can be borrowed for a period of one month. The Library includes useful reference works as well as standard and specialised catalogues, and has a number of periodicals as well. For a catalogue of the Library please go to the Library page
